Intranets

An Intranet operates in the same way as the Internet, except that it is internal to your organisation. OceanWeb Systems can create an Intranet for your organisation based on your existing database, or design a new database specifically for your Intranet. Using user groups and permissions, this would give employees appropriate access to your database using only a browser.

Extranets

If you connect your Intranet to the external Web, for access by employees, clients or suppliers this is termed an Extranet. Additional security measures are required when building an Extranet. OceanWeb Systems will advise you on the best method of securing your Intranets or Extranets.
